Congrats Jesse and Ann: Another Bachelorette Engagement

The Bachelor/Bachelorette Franchise has another win in the engagement column. Congratulations to Jesse Csincsak and Ann Lueders. Jesse and Ann have been dating for a year since they met on one of Jesse’s Bachelorette reunion cruises to Mexico, and this week he got down on one knee at a romantic spot on Lake Erie and proposed.

They will wed in Las Vegas and then return to Colorado to start their married life. Radar Online has the exclusive video of the proposal, in which Jesse tells Ann:

“I’ve spent the last year getting to know you….When I was on that boat to Mexico, the first time I met you, I would never have dreamed this would have happened, that it would get to this point. But I have fallen in love with you and I want to grow old with you.”

Ann was a contestant on Jason Mesnick’s season of the Bachelor while Jesse was the winner during Deanna Pappas’ season. Deanna broke up with Jesse within months, and it’s great to see him so happy again.

Jesse has been my favorite male contestant on the show over the many seasons. I’ve interviewed him many times and stayed in touch since then, and am really delighted for him and Ann. My congratulations and best wishes to them both.

AP “Beyond the Medal” Debuts Monday With Jesse and Lila

Click the Photo Above to see the Premiere of BEYOND THE MEDAL:

There continues to be life after “The Bachelor” for professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak.

Starting Monday morning at 7 a.m., and every day for the next 23 days, Jesse and AP video journalist Lila Ibrahim will co-host “Beyond the Medal”, an AP Winter Games show, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the 2010 Olympic winter games and the host cities of Vancouver and Whistler.

From bungee jumping to whale watching and everything in between, the goal is to bring you a small taste of what it’s like to be here for the 2010 Winter Games. Start every morning with us to get the latest news, check in with the athletes and find out what celebrities are in town for the games.

In tomorrow’s debut show we go north to take you on a walking tour of Whistler, where Jesse and I got to do a lot of outdoor sports for upcoming shows. I will tell you right now — I have nothing on my co-host when it comes to athletic ability. To wrap up our first show, we’ll bring you back to the Granville Room in downtown Vancouver for a taste of Olympic-themed cocktails.

Some of the highlights I hope they will cover: Snowboarders Louie Vito, who was such fun to watch on last season’s Dancing With the Stars, and Aspen’s own Gretchen Bleiler. Both are on the U.S. Olympic Snowboarding half-pipe teams. If you missed them at the X-Games, Vancouver offers another chance to watch them, along with the amazing Shaun White.

And don’t forget to check out Jesse’s website which just got a major re-design and added a slew of features, from quick-moving graphics to video clips and social networking links. It’s well organized and visually appealing — really nice work.

For all the latest on the games, and new episodes of “Beyond the Medal”, bookmark theAP Winter Games network.

Four days to go — all they need now is snow.

Bachelor/Bach’ette Reunion Cruise to Mexico

bachreunion

Former Bachelor contestant Jesse Csincsak hosted a reunion cruise from LA to Baja, Mexico for former Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants over Halloween weekend.

How may can you name? I see Juan, Kiptyn, Nikki, Jesse, Jesse, Robby, Natalie and Wes.

Jesse says some video of the event will air on the new season of ABC’s the Bachelor # 14 on Jan 4th 2010.

Jesse Csincsak to MC “Kiss the Bluz Goodbye” Event in Denver

Former Bachelorette winner Jesse Csincsak will MC “Kiss the Bluz Goodbye” — cocktails with a cause –for the Dani Foundation for cancer research tomorrow night at Denver’s City Park Pavillion (2001 Steele St), from 6 to 10 pm. There will be live music by Keaton Simons and Jaden Carlson, a cocktail buffet and a silent auction. The Dani Foundation funds pediatric cancer research, particularly Ewing’s Sarcoma and the Ewing’s Family of Tumors, and provides support for kids and families, .

It’s a good cause and I bet Jesse will shine, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop on by.

Jesse recently returned from Mt. Hood, OR where he spent the past few months coaching snowboarding. I spoke with him today and he’s got a lot of irons in the fire.

He’ll be hosting some of the Olympics coverage on TV in Vancouver (details available soon.) On September 12, he’s hosting an event in his hometown of Lorrain, Ohio featuring other Bachelorette contestants from his season, to benefit his JSAK Foundation, that helps kids who want to be professional snowboarders. He’s also putting together a cruise trip from California to Mexico for a bunch of former Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants from assorted seasons.

As for his thoughts on this season and Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, he told me he spoke to Jillian today, she and Ed are in Canada at her parents’ home and very happy. She’s not reading a thing on the internet about the Ed rumors and is determined to stay out of the LA media glare.

And here’s a little news: Jesse reports ABC is considering a new format for a Bachelor/Bachelorette show that would put past contestants of both sexes together in a house. He’s been asked to take part but nothing’s final yet. Stay tuned for more details.

DWTS Finale: Shawn Johnson Wins

[10:00 pm MT: See updates below, Congrats to Shawn Johnson and Mark!]

The winner will be chosen tonight on Dancing With the Stars. My vote: Melissa and then Gilles. Who I think will win: Gilles, but I’m not counting Shawn out because she has been terrific the past few weeks, especially last night. Gilles is really hot, but too often his dancing seems to be more about Cheryl than him. Len pointed it out last night, but I’ve been thinking that for a while.

Melissa is the best dancer of the three, by far I think. Shawn has the gymnast thing going which may make her appear better than she really is. Go Mel!

My pal Jesse Csincsak, former Bachelorette winner, is looking to be on the next season of Dancing With the Stars. I'd think he'd be terrific. As a professional snowboarder, he's certainly got the athletic skills and balance and coordination. Plus, he really looks good (and even better in person than on camera.) So I hope you'll take a few minutes and go sign the petition to help get him on the show. (You can even sign and click the box not to have your name displayed.)
